Ok so I admit it, I’m a total workshop junkie!!! One of the BEST parts of being a photographer is of course all the cool stuff you get to buy, but also all the awesome places you get to go! Attending workshops, classes & conferences are very important to me and my business. I feel like it’s one of the things that sets me apart. When you hire me you can be confident that I am investing time & money, as well as working my hardest to stay educated in my field. Whether it’s researching new hot products like I did in Vegas this year at WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) or learning new awesome lighting techniques with Blair Phillips Photography in Landis, NC! It’s like going to see your hair stylist, you wouldn’t want them to be looking online to get their education when cutting your hair or how to do a new style. I’ve ended up with some bad mullets and I have to wonder why:)~ I would much rather have a stylist who learned from the best and who continues to stay up with the trends! You should expect no less from your photographer!

I am very fortunate that I have an awesome husband who secretly enjoys when I go out of town so he can organize his baseball cards, and kids who can run wild and eat nothing but pop tarts and McD’s while I’m gone 🙂 Plus I have the best travel partner ever Heather from Infinity Images. We met a few years ago online and we’ve been hitting the road ever since!!! Here’s a few images from some of my favorite workshops & one really bad mullet!…. or as my hubby said it was mullet meets Tina Turner! :)~

Why are the worst haircuts when you are pregnant!

Hello sweet October, aren’t you so excited? I know I am:) I have so much planned into these next few months I can hardly stand my excitement. Especially since moving to Charleston and all the fun fall activities they have going on here, plus I am a total pumpkin fanatic!!! It started with my first pregnancy and has never left me. I completely LOVE anything pumpkin, bread, pie, cheesecake, muffins, lattes, you name it’s all so yummy!

As the fall approaches, so does the end of the year which really makes me reflect. I have to admit now that I have really struggled with my blog, making time to write and figuring out what to write in it is a battle sometimes. So thank you all my faithful blog readers, thank you for reading, and writing me, I truly LOVE hearing from you! Lately I have been really bored not as in I have nothing to do, cause with a family, a business, and 2 very busy boys my plate is very full but personally. I have been just itching to do something new, creative, or different. SO, I have decided to start a new project I don’t have a creative name for it just yet, and I’m sure it’s been done before but I want to create a blog spotlight of extraordinary people who live among us! So once, a month or depending on how many I get I want to feature REAL people, with REAL stories right here! Along with lots of pretty pictures of course, it is still a photography blog right, LOL.

So, here’s the deal. If you have an amazing story about your  life, a miracle, a way that God had rescued you in a mighty way than I want to hear from YOU!!! Come spend an afternoon in beautiful Charleston, let me give you a FREE session, and write YOUR story! I believe we all have a story, so if you’re brave enough to share it on here, to bare your soul, to tell people how you have hurt, and how you have healed than I want to help you share it and document it:) I originally wanted to do this for teens/youth, but now I want to hear from anyone young old and in-between……………… SO, my dear if you’re still reading this and interested shoot me an e-mail with your info, and why you want your story to be told:) Can’t wait to hear from y’all……………………..nichole

PS Is that little girl not the cutest thing ever? Taken from her one year session:)

I am back from Boston and not even quite sure where to start, besides getting sick on the photo shoot day I had the most wonderful amazing time ever!!! I met so many talented nice photographers and Cheryl Muhr was just captivating! Her story, her work, everything she taught, the way she ran the workshop was nothing less than spectacular! She has definitely moved to my #1 spot of fav photographers! I have been sick and ridiculously busy this week, but wanted to at least post one preview~teaser shot for you!

I am so excited I am leaving this weekend for BOSTON to attend “The Secret Photography Workshop” by the amazing Cheryl Muhr!!! There’s going to be about 40 woman attending from all over the US and as far as France and Australia! It’s going to be 3 days jammed packed of clicking, photoshoping, models, and a very special surprise speaker! I can’t wait to soak it all up and come back and implement all I’ve learned!
